SPG Ambassador Status: 100 Nights @ Starwood Hotels

Last month I achieved SPG Ambassador Status after staying 100 nights at Starwood Hotels during 2016. This year has been the most I’ve traveled in my life mainly due to increased business travel but the benefits will pay off for my upcoming leisure travel. Starwood gives you a preview of what the service is here on their website but they don’t publish the real benefits as those vary… The bonuses don’t change from the SPG 75 nights tier but the personalization will pay off.

I now have 24/7 access to the ambassador team, including my personal SPG ambassador, Tiffiny, who is my primary point of contact no matter where I am in the world. I’ve reached out twice so far and both times the replies have been very helpful. One was to remain in the same suite even though I had back to back reservations due to the uncertainty of how long I was going to stay which was successful. Another was a request for recommendations for an upcoming trip which she compiled ideas and sent a www.utrip.com link which was new to me and an interesting website. I believe it will provide major benefits during my upcoming New Year’s Eve stay and on my Birthday week.

I can’t wait to see the benefits for reaching the highest tier status with Starwood Hotels!

Tip: Status matching from SPG Platinum to Marriott Platinum Elite earns you United Silver status as that’s a Marriott benefit 🙂
