AMEX Centurion Lounge SFO

During my Thanksgiving travels I was able to check out the new Centurion Lounge which opened a few weeks ago at SFO Terminal 3 (United).  I was flying Delta out of Terminal 1 but you are able to get into Terminal 3 as long as you have a boarding pass for any SFO departure. Using TSA PreCheck makes it less of an inconvience to change between terminals as they don’t have post-security connectors at SFO. You must go through security again if you change terminals. Upon entering near Gate 74, I instantly noticed the entrance for the lounge. It was very modern and had a living wall inside. The front desk and lounge was located upstairs. Checking in was painless and was billed $50 for the visit as I don’t have an AMEX Platinum or Centurion card at the moment. The entrance fee was worth it since I was grabbing dinner and drinks. I had 2 hours to burn so this was a perfect place. It was fairly busy but it was during the holidays so it was as expected. The self serve wine tasting, gourmet food, comfy chairs and a full bar makes it a top domestic lounge. It’s nice to have a Centurion Lounge at my home airport as the one in Las Vegas spoiled me. Try it out next time you fly out of SFO!

I’d like to propose a “Tag-Along Program” for your future trips!! Very serious! You heard it here first. Just book 2 of everything, charge a little extra for your troubles, and see who wants to join you (family and Parkers get priority dibs). With you traveling so much and all of us wanting to see you, it’s the only way to go!!! Me first – preferrably a Europe trip, please. Thanks!!!
