Travel Vaccines & Medicine

Traveling internationally isn’t always easy. The first item I lookup are entry requirements followed by which vaccines or medicine I’ll need to take. The best resource is the CDC. You can find the details quickly by just appending the Country name at the end of the following URL (example – Indonesia):

Tips:

  • For Malaria, I’ve used Malarone and haven’t experienced any issues.
  • For Travelers’ Diarrhea, I’ve used Azithromycin successfully after eating some food in Indonesia that didn’t sit well. I always carry Azithromycin when I travel.
  • For Yellow Fever, Stamaril (European formula) is the vaccine given as the US supply has been depleted. Only specific CDC approved clinics can give the shot so find the closest one here.
